The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has chosen Tim Nielsen from Australia to be the new high-performance coach for their red-ball cricket team. This big decision is made to help the team get ready and do well in their upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.
Nielsen will work closely with Jason Gillespie, who is the current red-ball coach. Together, they will guide the Pakistan Shaheen’s training camp, which is focused on preparing for the Test matches.
The training camp is planned to start on August 11. Pakistan will play against Bangladesh in two Test matches. The first Test is set to take place in Rawalpindi from August 21 to August 25. The second Test will be held in Karachi from August 30 to September 3.
Tim Nielsen brings a lot of experience to the team. He has worked with Jason Gillespie before in South Australian cricket, and now, they are teaming up again for Pakistan.
Recently, the PCB also announced the squads for both the national team and the Pakistan Shaheens. The national team’s 17-member squad will compete in the ICC World Test Championship matches against Bangladesh.
Additionally, the Pakistan Shaheens squad has been selected for two upcoming four-day matches against Bangladesh-A. Saud Shakeel will lead the team as the captain. The first four-day match starts on August 10, and the second will begin on August 17.
