Junaid Khan, a former Pakistan fast bowler, has shared strong opinions about India’s bowling after their recent loss to Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series.
India struggled, losing 2-0, marking Sri Lanka’s first series win against them since 1997.
Junaid feels that India’s bowling isn’t as strong without their star bowler, Jasprit Bumrah.
He even posted on social media, asking if others agreed with his view, saying, “Without Bumrah, India’s bowling is zero.“
During the series, Indian batters found it tough to handle Sri Lankan spinners, getting out in all three games. India’s bowlers also didn’t perform well, as they couldn’t take wickets consistently.
Jasprit Bumrah, who played a big part in India’s T20 World Cup win in 2024, was given extra time off to manage his workload.
After the final match, Rohit Sharma, India’s captain, was asked if the team might have been a bit too relaxed after their recent World Cup victory. They had just faced a weaker Sri Lankan team in the T20 series before the ODIs.
