Saud Shakeel will captain the Pakistan Shaheens in their upcoming match against Bangladesh ‘A’. The squad includes several players from the Test team such as Kamran Ghulam, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, and Sarfaraz Ahmed.
Training for the four-day match will begin on Wednesday afternoon at the Islamabad Club. Head coach Umar Gul will lead the training, with assistance from Jason Gillespie and Azhar Mahmood. After this match, the focus will shift to the national team’s camp starting on August 11.
Following the first four-day match, the eight Test probables will join the national team. The selectors will then announce replacements for these players in the Pakistan Shaheens squad for the remaining matches against Bangladesh ‘A’.
The PCB is coordinating with the Bangladesh Cricket Board, and the revised schedule for the Pakistan Shaheens versus Bangladesh ‘A’ series is expected to be announced soon.
